Join us for our virtual Winter Conference!

Boardmaker is a tool that can provide differentiated instruction in the classroom by supporting the development of visuals for student success. Learn about the power of visuals within different learning environments. Then explore the tools within Boardmaker, such as templates and pre-created visual supports that make creating supports easy and fun. Participants will participate in demo activities creating print and interactive supports that can be used for immediate implementation in their classrooms and/or therapy environment. Learning Objectives for this Course are: a) State 3 benefits of providing visual supports in the classroom. b) Identify 2 Boardmaker tools necessary to create a visual schedule. c) State 2 benefits of using regulation tools for improved classroom participation.

Ali Pettigrew is a Learning Consultant and loves supporting AAC users, communication partners, professionals, and those with an interest in AAC. Ali’s professional career has allowed her to facilitate individualized student learning in a variety of settings, ranging from classrooms to summer camps, with a specialty for cultivating successful learning and communication strategies for students with brain injury and autism diagnoses. She currently resides in Chattanooga, TN.
